your photos

We start with your photos.  You probably have boxes or albums full of photos from the past, and possibly hard drives or camera cards full of digital photos.  The first step is getting the important photos digitized and organized.  Prints or slides need to be scanned before they can be shared and used in digital photo-book projects.  Having a consistent system for organizing photos – both print and digital copies – will make sharing and project-making much easier.

Before digital cameras, we used to pay for film, flash bulbs, photo processing and printing, disposable cameras, photo albums and scrapbooks.  Now, with digital cameras, we buy flash drives, CDs, DVDs, backup drives and cloud storage to store our photos.  But regardless of where our photos reside, the goal is to share them with our family and friends, and that can be hard to do if they are in a box or on our computer. Making them available on a photo-sharing website is one way to connect with others.  Another way is to create digital photo-and-memory books and print as many copies as you need.
